Genius Hour in the month of November:

Genius Hour is 3 hour long blocks of student directed research. Students select any topic they would like to learn more about. They  research their topic or question for 3 periods and then present their research on our classroom blog. Help your child brainstorm some topics that they would like to know more about!

Grade 4 and 5 fun with Mrs. Bradley's class and parents :)

WACKY HAIR AND WACKY HAT DAY

Every Friday afternoon, we join Mrs.Bradley's class for singing.

Super Science...... grade 5s presented their complex machines and grade 4s presented weather art! We have Recycle Bots, Egg Smashers, Sushi Trains and more!

Golf in the gym!

Our Science Show was so much fun. Thank you to the family members who were able to join us!

Grade 5 Race Challenge!

We have been learning about force in science and I have offered the grade 5 students a challenge:

Create a track for a small metal car (Hot Wheels, etc.) that would either speed the car up or slow it down. We will be racing the cars after the long weekend and students will either try to win or lose...... depending on which track they choose to construct. Each car must cross the finish line.

Grade 4 Weather Challenge

Demonstrate your knowledge of the Water Cycle (handout given this week) anyway that you like!

Drawings, 2D or 3D models, lego, computer animation.........

What is Genius Hour? Do you think we could have a Genius Hour in our class?

We had an awesome day at the beach yesterday exploring living things!
